Microbial Limits Testing USP (61), USP (62)

USP Microbial Limits Testing is often used to determine if a product complies with compendial specifications for microbial quality. The analysis consists of two phases: microbial enumeration and the testing for specified microorganisms. Microbial enumeration provides the total number of aerobic organisms, yeast, and mold present within a product. Testing for specified microorganisms is performed to determine the presence or absence of specific objectionable organisms within a product.
